Crusader Cash Raffle FAQs
The 2021 Crusader Cash Raffle Drawing will be held from September 13th to November 5th. Every weekday, St. Cecelia Catholic School (SCS) will be giving away cash to the winner of the day. Each Monday through Thursday, winners will receive $300, and Friday winners will take home $1000. On the final day of the raffle (November 5th) the winner will receive $5000.
- When are the drawings held?
Drawings will happen at 9:00 am. All winning tickets will be re-entered for remaining drawings. Winners will be notified by phone or email and posted on Facebook.
- How much do the raffle tickets cost?
The suggested donation for each ticket is $10 and gives the purchaser 40 chances to win a total of $21,600 in prize money. Over the course of the event, that's only 25 cents per day.
- When are the raffle tickets due?
The start of the raffle tickets sales is August 25, 2021. Each family's 30-ticket sale commitment is due by Friday, September 10th, 2021. This is necessary in order to be eligible for all 40 drawings. Additional tickets may be purchased online through 8:00 pm Thursday, November 4, 2021.
- How are winnings awarded? Do I have to report winnings?
Winners will be notified by phone or email and posted on Facebook. Checks will be mailed directly to the winners. 1099 forms will only be distributed to those that win over $600.
- Where do I purchase the tickets?
Tickets can be purchased by using the link provided. The link can also be found in the parent newsletter, parent portal, and SCS website, www.st-cecelia.org under events.
- Will selling tickets help our family meet their Mandatory Hours of Service (MHS)?
Yes, it will! When you sell 30 tickets you will receive 12 MHS. When you sell an additional 5 tickets, you will receive an additional 3 MHS. When you sell 5 more additional tickets totaling 40 tickets, you will receive an additional 3 MHS. Total MHS that could be earned is 18.
- How much money can we make with this fundraiser?
When each family sells their 30 tickets, the school has the potential to earn about 50% of the $110,000 commitment of the Home and School Association.
- How can I help make this fundraiser a success?
The success of our Crusader Cash Raffle is dependent on everyone's participation. A minimum of 30 tickets is required for each family to sell, but the more you sell, the more money we raise to benefit our children.
- Are there any fun incentives for the students of SCS associated with the raffle?
Yes! Any family that sells their 30 tickets will have their child entered into a drawing to spin a prize wheel where they can win cash or gift cards as prizes. Students will also receive an entire dress out week if they meet their goal of selling 9,300 tickets!
